How many bulbs are in the taillights, and which ones are they. I'm asking asking because I think some lights are out and I need to know which ones to buy.
Really? You "think" you have tail lights out but are not sure which one's? Did you look? Do you know that any automotive store will look up the tail lights for you? Have you heard of Google? Anyway:
Rear fog light, turn signal light, reversing light - P 21 W Socket BA 15 S
Tail light, brake light - P 21 /5 W Socket BA 15 D
Raised brake light - W 3 W Socket W 2.1 x 9.5 D
License plate light - C 5 W Socket SV 8.5
Now, these bulbs are only available from elves that live in the Black Forest of Germany. You will have to go there, learn elfish speak and promise to never ever divulge their secrets. Good luck!
Come on - it took you longer to post this question than to google the answer. I googled "porsche 996 tail light bulbs" and had a picture with all the bulbs identified in five seconds.
Guys humor is great but this guy is fairly new and some of these responses probably made him/her doubt whether they will ever write another post here. I just had a brake light go out, and yes, the parts store looked it up and had one. Also had looked it up in owners manual, which I had to buy because car did not have one when I bought it, so "RTFM" may not work for all.
