Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Lest you think I run a scam for a business, we fill over 600 orders a week, and have for the last 9 years, and we have had a grand total of 2 chargebacks for a unresolved dispute from all the credit card companies.

This guy managed to tell just the part of the story that supports his side and gathers sympathy, and then tries to use his card company to bail him out, and then use the internet to blackmail the company...low,cowardly and in some cases considered libelous.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

"We are NOT however, LLBean or Nordstroms, and Mr. Alvarino was not trying to return a sweater."
Maybe that's why LLBean, Nordstrom, Land's End, etc... are doing so well. A product is a product, doesn't matter if it's a $30 Ragg Wool sweater or $3000 suspension parts. I've never heard of LLBean charging a restocking fee, have you?

Bull ! "The customer is always right" is one of the great urban myths.I run a mail order company which gets into some very sophisticated equipment for high end aquariums. We have, on occasion been put in a simialar situation. The fact that his customer returned the merchandise, by throwing it ***** nilly into a box, without proper packaging ( as received)shows total disregard for the product and its' value to the company that sold it to him. Why on earth should the company that shipped it be responsible for his negligence. A partial refund, with a restocking fee is generous. To have a customer pull this kind of stunt, and then try to get his credit card company to bail him out is cowardly. In a few of the similar circumstances we have sent the merchandise back to the customer. Lest you think I run a scam for a business, we fill over 600 orders a week, and have for the last 9 years, and we have had a grand total of 2 chargebacks for a unresolved dispute from all the credit card companies. I am fair to a fault, but don't you dare **** on my shoe and try to tell me it's raining. As for a product being a product, it is very easy to be generous when you sell a $30 sweater that cost you 4.00, or a $20 T shirt that cost 75 cents, from some third world country. Would you have the ***** to send back a sweater that you leaked a pen on, and expect the merchant to eat it? Why should someone that damaged the merchandise get a refund, irregardless of an error in the initial order? The fact is, some people just should not buy mail order...however these are usually the same guys that are trying to save a few bucks , rather than having the mechanic order ( and god forbid, profit) from the parts. This guy managed to tell just the part of the story that supports his side and gathers sympathy, and then tries to use his card company to bail him out, and then use the internet to blackmail the company...low,cowardly and in some cases considered libelous. Hey I'm sorry for pissing on your shoes and calling it rain. Cool your jets, buddy. This is Konrad's war with Windward, not mine and your's. Nice lights for the aquarium! Have you ever dealt with Advance Aqua tanks out of Torrance, CA?
Here here!
Nothing much to add to this disscusion. I just found myself enthraled by Perry's viewpoint. Well articulated Perry. As a business owner, I expect a lot from those I patronize, however I have the added advantage of having experienced both sides of the coin.
From what I've seen, more often than not, the flaming accuacations are orginated by the guilty. I'd say as a mechanical attempt at justification.

I'll vouch for Perry - I've purchased from his company on many occassions - though I don't know Perry personally (Saltwater fish is one of my other passions! - nice to meet you by cross post Perry)- with great results. These he said/she said situations are always tough to sort out. Frankly, in a perverse way (without suggesting that Windward was at fault here - I really just don't know), if they were, its probably a great place to do business now given the desire to prove they are a customer friendly shop.
Thanks for the support..it felt good to vent <g> Brian..it's a small world..glad to hear that my customers have such good taste in cars. It's a natural mix, a beautiful reef tank and a beautiful car. Life is good. Perry
