I've been trying to search what sort of rotors go along with each type of calipers, thinking that might clarify which caliper to use but to no avail.(Any difference in thickness of the rotors they used?)

Most aftermarket BBK kits I've seen uses the non-Turbo calipers from a NA '99-04 narrow body models or the Boxster S models(same caliper).

Hello, I have a merc w124 500 and I've been trying to upgrade brake calipers on my car to those off of a Porsche 996. A shop in japan fabricates a bracket that allows the use of 996 Calipers on these cars but they were not very clear on what sort of 996 Calipers they use. To my knowledge, there are 2 variations to 996 calipers; C2/C2S/C4 and C4S/TT. I've been trying to search what sort of rotors go along with each type of calipers, thinking that might clarify which caliper to use but to no avail.(Any difference in thickness of the rotors they used?) The picture above is directly from the shop in Japan. It's a 996 caliper paired with a 345x30mm rotor from a mercedes. If someone can tell what sort of 996 Caliper that might be based on the way it looks, or give me more information on the rotors each of calipers used off the factory, I'd really appreciate it!

Most aftermarket BBK kits I've seen uses the non-Turbo calipers from a NA '99-04 narrow body models or the Boxster S models(same caliper). I would ask the shop to email you a photo or send you part numbers of the calipers they require. Should be imprinted on top of each caliper. 996.351.425 996.351.426
