Suggestion

He recommended I go to the dealer since if I bought my own unit, he's not 100% sure he will be able to reprogram it (he was unsuccessfully with a past customer) and I would end up having to go back to the dealer anyways.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm looking for an independent service provider in the San Francisco Bay Area that have PIWIS, PST2, Autologic, etc. Just looking to have my remotes to work with my car. TIA

POST 2Original post

Tony Heyer in Mountain View perhaps? http://heyerperformance.com/

POST 3Original post

I recommend Don's Autowerks in Campbell. The are the most reasonably priced Porsche shop in the area from what I have found.

POST 4Original post

I went to Tony @ Heyer for an oil change and asked about reprogramming my 2nd key. He recommended I go to the dealer since if I bought my own unit, he's not 100% sure he will be able to reprogram it (he was unsuccessfully with a past customer) and I would end up having to go back to the dealer anyways.
