Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

I stumbled on and bought a new in box original set locally for a $150.00 (!) because I was always curious about how they attached without damaging the paint.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Starting a new thread to go over the best available roof racks / roof boxes for a 996 C2. I golf a lot and would be nice to have the extra space when driving with a buddy or two. If anyone knows someone trying to sell one, please let me know. Looking for something reasonably priced. I've been looking at Yakima and Thule but both are easily over $1200 all in.

POST 2Original post

Are you looking for a rack or the roof rails? If rails, get the factory Porsche set. I have them and they're perfect. If rack/box, I don't think you can go wrong with either brand

POST 3Original post

Get a Targa😎 easy access to two Golf bags. Im limited to a Sea Sucker system for my bike. You have many options, all cheaper than a Targa....

POST 4Original post

If you think your car is loud now, wait til you put the roof rack on. I stumbled on and bought a new in box original set locally for a $150.00 (!) because I was always curious about how they attached without damaging the paint. Drove it for 5 miles, took them off and sold them.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for the responses, guys. 85euro, i love the GT3 wheels. Originally thought about a Targa but found a hot deal on a base C2. I'm looking for the complete setup--rails, and a box to fit golf clubs, bags, etc. Just need extra storage for certain situations. I bet it'll be a ton of wind noise but I won't have this on all the time. Ideally, I'd like to find a deal--so if anyone knows someone selling, please let me know.

Have you got any pics with the SeaSucker? I'm looking at a Targa but need to carry Bike or Surfboard, so not sure it's the right idea :-D
