I'm not sure whether it was Apple Maps or Google Maps, but one of them had test mode of sorts, where it would "pretend" to announce some navigation messages so the user could set the volume - because the thing is you have to use the volume **** right when the app is making sound, otherwise you control the multimedia volume, not maps volume.

Hi guys I have pccm in the car and when I use to have I phone all worked well a month ago I change iPhone to android and all is working well but no sound from waze navigation or Google map eiter so I can barely hear in the background of the radio Playing with all the sound settings still no luck Also is there a way to make sure radio is not coming on if I don't want too? And radio volume at like 7 is super loud anyone here uses android with pccm apple car play? thanks in advance

It's stupid that it can't be set in more civilized way, but it is what it is. So you might want to try setting the volume in this mode or just try and "catch" it when the app is making some sound.
