Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

2003 911 C2, 18", currently been running Michelin Pilot Sport PS2. On Tire Rack they also have Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect (240) in my sizes. They don't have any reviews on this tire, only difference I see is the rears are 97Y and the UTQG is 240, vs 93Y and 220 on the PS2's. Anyone know anything about these tires? I'm thinking of getting them instead of the PS2'. They're almost the same price. I daily drive the car in south Texas and never autox/track it. Thanks for the help!

POST 2Original post

they're the best tires I ever experienced, for sure. incredible grip but they wear very fast. much faster than mps4s. people say they shouldn't be driven in the rain, but I did and they were fine. the rears lasted barely 5k miles with my driving style, however. I still have the front tires with half their tread in the garage. not worth the price for me. I go with mps4s, but they were fun to try one time. https://tirewheelguide.com/tires/com...t-sport-cup-2/

POST 3Original post

I ran cup 2s for two years on my C2. they are absolutely amazing tires. I went through a set of rears each year (less than 5k on them each time) and the fronts were fine. I replaced them with the MPS4S as they were finally available in my size and I have been happy with them, the sidewalls are not as stiff as the cup 2s but on the street, they have all the grip I need and a bit more of a compliant ride plus they last 3-4 times as long. Some days I do miss my cup 2s though

POST 4Original post

Careful with sport cups 2s in heavier rain. Ps2s are good in rain but not as sticky in dry. I ran sport cups for years and just slowed down when it rained.
