Id like to use the cigarette lighter if possible, but would appreciate any comments on this, either good or bad.

I install the pigtail harnesses on the batteries and use the quick connect plug when needed.

Also, will likely use for our Subaru at times as well.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey, I searched the forum for this, but didnt see anything too recent. My mechanic says its a good idea to get a battery tender, and based on what Ive ready, it looks like a good idea. I read that the CTEK battery tenders are pretty good, but which one would you guys recommend? Id like to use the cigarette lighter if possible, but would appreciate any comments on this, either good or bad. Also, will likely use for our Subaru at times as well. Would the CTEK line work well for both, would think so. Thanks
CTEK is the way to go. Here's a quick story to go with the picture. I acquired my 2003 C4S in March 2006. The original Moll battery died a little over a year later and I replaced it with the Champion battery bought from Parts Source you see in the picture. Nothing special really. Whenever I'm not driving the car for more than 4 days, I plug in the CTEK into the lighter socket.
Well that battery, from 2007 just died 3 weeks ago after almost 14 years of use! Replaced it with a NAPA AGM The Legend H7 and I'll keep it maintained with the CTEK for the next 14 years too! 😊
After researching this same topic a few months ago, my results led me to the Ctek with the cig adapter. Car's been plugged in for a couple months now. Ctek just works; its awesome.
