Is it possible to use an '00 0r '01 engine in a cable throttle '99 model by simply keeping the cable and throttle body of the original?

Short answere is no. Long answer is it just depends on how much money u want to spend. I have a 2004 gt3 drivetrain in my 2000 c2. The 3.6l has a different engine managment system so u would have to swap the harness, dme, sensors and a bunch of other parts including a fly by wire gas pedal.
