Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just acquired a 996 c4s and I wanted to know people's opinion on good Indy shops near Saratoga, NY. Everyone has a different experience but a minimum I'll get good info on the current options available.

Depends on your definition of "near." A few of us here use R&D Automotive, AKA Bavarian Rocket Scientists, in Albany. Not cheap, not fast, but they seem to get stuff right on the first try.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That's typically who I use. Was curious if there were others out there. Thanks KOB.

POST 4Original post

Hi Animus: You have asked for a tough call around here. If you want "simple" work done ( as in non-track work), then the aobve-references are decent. My buddy with his GT3 and Cup car uses a CT shop, as do I. There is a huge difference in shops when it comes to track specific work. My buddy swears by an indie shop, on Rt 50, in B'Spa. Headed south it is on the left, as you descend down the hill into town. He has a number of Euro cars on his lot....I have not had a chance to check him out, yet......it is on my short list. IIRC, I think one of the guys over there is "Andy" but not sure..... GL

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
