Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Posted in another thread, but thought I'd start my own. Im replacing a bent wheel, so I thought now is a good time to change color. As some have said, the wheels/tires kind of get lost, too dark. Trying to match body color was a good idea, but I'm not 100% sold on that yet. So, I'm asking for your thoughts.

POST 4Original post

I went to black wheels on both my cars. I'd do it again.

POST 6Original post

A dark bronze but the problem would be all your black accents tough to really go with anything but black

POST 7Original post

Body color with a gloss black accent around the outer perimeter.

Go with Guards red. Your brake calipers are black (Im assuming) and thats a nice contrast. You can add some more red by picking up a Porsche decal (x2) and place it on the sides of your spoilers black fin. Either way have fun with it and dont worry about the peanut gallery! Make it yours.

POST 10Original post

I would have the edges of the wheels polished or brushed aluminum where the revel delineates the center area and paint the center areas a darker bronze gloss.

POST 11Original post

No - black. Yes - grey or dark silver metallic. Please let us know what you decide.

This. My Cayenne GTS and Panamera GTS have black wheels with the painted silver lip. Makes the wheel look so much better (IMO) as it breaks up the black.

POST 13Original post

You can do body color, but with the outer ring in silver. Those wheels that you have are perfect for that.

POST 14Original post

I would go satin dark grey or black chrome, think the 2000 model year or so BMW M5 dark chrome alloys..

POST 15Original post

I was going to say "silver" when I saw the thread title, before I even opened the thread , because that's what I generally feel looks best. However, for your car, I like the idea of a darker shade of your body color. The same shade wouldn't have a enough contrast to my eye. Something like a metallic bronze would look really nice. I never like black -- it's just too dark and it draws your attention to the wheels instead of the whole car. Or at least that's what happens for me. Hopefully somebody can photoshop some colors onto your photo.
