Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
I dont have holes drilled, so Im using a tow hook bracket.
Leading evidence: 'Use tow hook bracket' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use tow hook bracket' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Couldn't find any front plate bracket options that I liked...so took matters into my own hands...making a curved braket out of 1/4 inch Aluminium. Please see pics. Will post updates along the way as I complete it.
I was thrilled that Ohio just abolished our front plate requirement before I got my 996 and that no one had ever drilled the bumper for one. It's a stupid archaic requirement in this day and age of cameras everywhere. If the see ya comin, they'll see ya goin. Nice fabrication though if you're trying to comply.
That is the plan and will back the plate with a thin layer of foam to protect paint. Going to also make a bolt on option as well as most people have the factory holes in the bumper.... this is a more flush aerodynamic option over stock bracket.
been like this for 3 yrs. pulled over twice for speeding (warning both times. Maybe 10 over on country roads out west) never questioned on front plate. Probably just jinxed myself 😎
I got a no plate ticket once on a small two lane county road once - while going there speed limit!
And another no plate ticket once while my car was parked. It was under the windshield wiper.
Thats about enough donations to my local law enforcement for me.
