Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My 996 porsche came from Florida to Europe with these wheels. Seller said that they are custom made porsche wheels, they were ordered together with an aero pack which is on a car. I searched on net day and night, but could not find any information about them. They look very similar to Champion Motorsport RG5, but these have 8 double spokes. Whereas mine have 7. And also there is no any information on rims at all. No offset no nothing at all. I tried putting 305, 295 tyres - wont fit. 295 just barely touching suspension part plastic cover. They guy at wheel fitment shop said theyre are very light. Also im willing to sell them, as they are 19inch and i like 18inch twists - much more confortable to drive.

POST 4Original post

I can't find those anywhere. All the ones that have the 7 double spoke don't have the 3 peice/lip. Every other wheel I can find that has the same lip design has 5, 8, or more double spokes. Smells like a knockoff.....but you said that it's real 3 piece. You stumped us!!! They look pretty cool though, and would totally buy if they were 18 (although it sounds like you would keep them if they were.) Good luck!

POST 5Original post

All Champion Wheels will have stampings on the rear side of some spokes and/or by the inner lip area. Weigh one wheel. If it's between 20-22lbs, you have forged wheels regardless of brand and should be high quality. The cheap cast versions will weigh closer to 30lbs for the rears and 22-24lbs front.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Tommorow youll get a picture with front and then rear wheel on scales with tyre.

POST 7Original post

Looks like fake, Ive never seen that many screws. Try taking one out (it may break off)

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

45 screws, exactly same number RG5 has

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, got scales just for you guys lol, so it weighs 22.2KG=48.9lbs with tyre 245/35/19, tyre weighs=23 lbs. so the rim will weight around 25lbs, also found letters on rims: RA2, dont know what that means. So it seems its a cheap version of wheels, what you think ?

Weigh one of the rear wheels. Front wheels regardless of cast/forged/brand can come closer in weight to one another. It's the rear wider wheels that take the most weight penalty hit between cast/forged/brands. It also looks to be a true 3 piece wheel which generally weight more than 1 or 2 piece wheels. Companies like BBS uses Titanium bolts to offset the weight difference. If that's the only marking you see, most likely it isn't Champion Motorsport wheels.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

rear wheel with tyre: 24.3KG=53.6lbs, 2kg heavier than front. weight without tyre: 28.6lbs. So if any of you guys want them - ill sell. Can ship to any part of the world.
