I believe the setup consists of a locking nut to the rear and an adjusting nut to the front.

I am in the process of replacing my rear brakes and would like to adjust the parking brake to ensure it is adjusted correctly. Under the console, there are two nuts at the turnbuckle that I cannot get to move. The cable does not have tension on it. I believe I should move the aft-most nut first and it should rotate ccw when viewed from aft to front. Thoughts?

I used a socket instead of a box end wrench and the locking nut came loose.
