Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Oil leek - passenger side - front of engine near exhaust. I cant find it. It does cover most of the engine on that side, but very think on the front side Around the block. Thinking AOS breather just on top of head. Also cam actuator is the thickest. Had a power steering line blow, and that spewed oil everywhere. Never cleaned that up like I should. open to others with experience

POST 2Original post

That motor looks aweful. I would swap out every o-ring and crush washer in that entire motor.

POST 3Original post

Looks like the AOS breather hose on that side is leaking. My question is why is it leaking? I had that issue because of excess pressure. So I bought a new engine.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Engine was replaced 3 years ago. Long story but got hydro locked because of a fab speed intake had no drain holes, and car was out in a horrif rain storm. Decided to drop because of this oil issue to fix it right. Going to install the ultimate AOS solution. Guess will pull the hose as well and see what is on the inside. Not sure yet how to replace the breather coming out of the cylinder head

POST 5Original post

Just buy the hose that goes accross the motor and the 90* fitting. Its held down by a small bolt and has an o-ring under it. Its easy to do with the motor out and that hose gets brillel and breaks. There is also a chain tensioner crush washer and the scavange pump o-ring in that area. The power steering fluid is real light and usually wont cause that much of a mess. For peice if mind i would do the 4 o-rings in the oil cooler too. Dont forget the spark plug tubes and o-rings......the list goes on and on.

POST 6Original post

As Dejeeper mentioned; I had an oil leak right there from a failed rubber o ring on the 90 degree junction from the breather tube to the engine. Dripped right on the exhaust. No putting that off
