Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion

Real enthusiasts actually check tire pressures on a regular basis manually, plus that big thing will kill the look on any Porsche.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just saw this on indiegogo and thought I would share. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/f...oth-smart-tpms Seems like a better implementation than the orange TPMS approach. No need to take tire apart or have a clunky adapter in your car. Thoughts?

POST 4Original post

TPMS, in dash oil level sensor, blind spot monitoring, collision avoidance, etc. All tools to either make you more lazy, ignorant, less connected with your car or environment... Real enthusiasts actually check tire pressures on a regular basis manually, plus that big thing will kill the look on any Porsche. Not to mention one more app background process on the phone to drain your battery faster. Good concept and may work better for Camry owners...

POST 6Original post

I like my Orange TPMS - mine's set to alternate between temp and PSI, which can provide some really useful info, especially for mountain driving where knowing the road temp is getting too cold is nearly as important as being able to verify that your tires aren't flat. I'm a big fan of having my phone do all sorts of stuff, but having a dedicated system for TPMS seems like a good idea to me. The only time I need it is the least appropriate time for me to be fumbling around with my cell phone, launching an app, and trying to troubleshoot why Bluetooth won't connect (is it 1111 or 1234, dammit?!?).

Actually, I would probably go with the TPMS systems that are well know, such as one from Schrader: Amazon.com: Schrader SCH-WRK-4PC TPMS Retrofit Kit for Passenger Car and Light Truck (Hard Wired Display): Automotive Amazon.com: Schrader SCH-WRK-4PC TPMS Retrofit Kit for Passenger Car and Light Truck (Hard Wired Display): Automotive Having the info on my Smartphone doesn't seem that useful and I would rather have a system that is proven (also its only $125). It does require the stems to be replaced.
