I used the ones on Pelican - the Corteco (OE but actually show up in a Rein Automotive parts box.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All Changed mine out and spent more time wiping down the motor piece I can never get to than I did on the mounts. I did this without jacking up car and to be very honest...if you have a 6" adapter and a towel to lay on there is no reason that I saw to spend the time jacking up the car...very simple to get to and very easy to do.

POST 3Original post

Who's mounts did you use? I'm trying to determine which ones to get - OEM or the plethora of aftermarket mounts. Mostly daily driver, but will start some tracking soon, I hope.

POST 4Original post

Oem are half the price of others and will feel much better than your current ones assuming that the car is getting in in age/miles. You can always move to semi solids or solids once you've tried new oems.

I used the ones on Pelican - the Corteco (OE but actually show up in a Rein Automotive parts box. they are the same). I think they were $92 each or something like that. so far, I think THINK my clunking and hard sort of violent push in clutch and feel like the engine and tranny are going to fall out the car issue has been solved. Still there in first, but only when loading up motor and then pushing in clutch...IE in a parking lot in between speed bumps...

POST 6Original post

Like the previous 2 posters I replaced my worn out mounts with the REIN OE mount. NVH that I had went away. If I keep the car long enough I may try semi-solids next time round but not sure it will do anything for a daily driver C4S
