Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

30 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone. Long time lurker. Bought myself a 2003 c4s for Christmas. After hurricane sandy, my truck got wiped out and I picked up a 09 cayenne s ((which is my daily driver and first Porsche love)) I'm 29 years old about to turn 30 in June. I own a pizzeria along the jersey shore. No I'm not one of those Italian, fist pumping stereotypes that people think about when they hear jersey shore. Picked my car up from power tech up in north jersey. Had the ims bearing done, along with a folder filled with receipts of all services done. Made me feel pretty comfortable to buy the car knowing it came from a enthusiast (owned it for 10 years.) Ended up having a oil leak a week after I got it ((of course!)) and I'm not the type of person who lets things go like that. I'm **** about upkeep. ended up being a air oil separator. So along with that, I added a ipd plenum, gt3 throttle body, evoms intake, and evoms tune. OMG THE NOISE!!! It's beautiful! Car also has Porsche sport exhaust, which I was informed is very rusty. So I'm not in the process of piecing together a fabspeed exhaust system. Just wanted to say hi to everyone. Looking forward to talking about cars and making the periodic dick and fart jokes with you guys.

Also had rss motor mounts, and a 997 short shift kit installed at the same time as my other mods. Great stuff!!

POST 4Original post

Nice car and great mods! Welcome and congrats.

POST 5Original post

congrats and welcome. and kudos for posting pics!

POST 6Original post

Dick and fart jokes? I thought you said you weren't Italian? Welcome - beautiful car. Nice mods. Love the e-brake handle & gearshift combo. Wish I had that gearshift on my current car. I had it on my '99 and it was great - don't get the urge to mod that because you'll regret it.

POST 7Original post

nice cars. whats been your experience with the cayenne? Ive wanted to get one but been on the fence. Not too crazy with mpg either (although my X5 is sorta crappy too)

POST 9Original post

Nice C4S. Maybe the more than normal rust is from the climate your in.

POST 10Original post

How much do you charge for a slice of pizza? I'm in the wrong business

POST 11Original post

Welcome to the C4S Club! I'm in the pizza biz as well. Looks like we got some things in common. Enjoy, Cheers! 2004 Carrera 4S Cabriolet

Haha no I am Italian. Just not the stereotypical Italian. But apparently dick and fart jokes make me a stereotype. It's cool though haha. Thanks for the compliments.

The cayenne has been hands down, the most reliable car I've ever owned. Great performance for what it is.

POST 17Original post

Congratulations and welcome! Hope to meet you at some point! It's just about a year since I got my c4s and I am smitten! Love the lapis blue.. Enjoy!

POST 18Original post

I have always liked the combination of a silver Cayenne and a blue 911!

POST 19Original post

I have considered buying a Cayenne in the past, but I can't get over the fact that the rear end was overlooked completely by the design team. I realize it's the back of an SUV, but damn...put some effort into it!

POST 20Original post

Quotes source post: 12946085

So freakin' true! They did figure it out on the Macan though.

POST 21Original post

I think the first generation Cayenne looked the best from the rear. I always liked the solid red tail lights and the exhaust pipes hanging down underneath the rear bumper. Our Cayenne was a great vehicle, but my wife wanted to try something different, so we bought the Audi SQ5 pictured above. The Audi is also great, but I think we will go back to another Cayenne or perhaps a Macan when the time comes.

Could be the start of a "where do you put your pizza" thread...

I appreciate the love from everyone. Looking forward to meeting all you guys at meets ups and what not. If you guys are ever curious about what my pizza looks like and have Instagram, it's @papa_vs I tend to make more fun pizza toppings. Best sellers are my Big Mack pizza and my pretzel and beer cheese pizza. I'd love to have a mini Porsche meet at my pizzeria. I own the whole property. My parking lot is a big open lot that can accommodate 30-35 cars easily. Food for though... Pun intended
