I'll do plenty of test fitting first of course, the last thing I want to do is mess up a good pair of PSE mufflers by chopping them too short for anybody to use.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So happy, My friend at Automotive Excellence in San Diego whom I bought my car from needed some electrical work done in the repair shop. We agreed on an hourly rate and during the course of the work I asked if he had any performance take offs or used parts around for sale. He had these PSE mufflers for a customer that didn't work out. I said instead of paying me $$$, how about we trade my time for the exhaust. He must have been feeling generous because he agreed. 5hrs later I'm all done and the exhaust is in the back of the truck. We are both happy. I can't wait to put them on next week.

POST 2Original post

If you can post a before and after video that would be cool. I would like to hear the difference. Nice trade btw.

POST 4Original post

5 hours of electrical labor for a set of PSE mufflers is quite the deal. Now if you want the to close you will need a few more parts, there is a DIY here that lists them. I found a set years ago and installed them with the complete electrics, etc. and love them. I am just afraid of when the cans rust out. They have become stupid expensive now.

POST 5Original post

Don't forget to report the trade on your income taxes, NOT!

POST 6Original post

Those are 997 mufflers. Won't work without a little bit of modification.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

"Those are 997 mufflers. Won't work without a little bit of modification." Yes, and I understand the mufflers will need to be trimmed about 2-1/4" on at the union where it meets the cat-converter. Do you know if this is correct? I'll do plenty of test fitting first of course, the last thing I want to do is mess up a good pair of PSE mufflers by chopping them too short for anybody to use.
