Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Friends, It's getting cold in PA, so when I turn on the driver's seat heater the light blinks but no heat. Where should I start; with the toggle switch or relay? /X3

POST 2Original post

Neither. Remove seat. Find wires that go to seat heating elements (not hard), and test with an Ohm meter. Chances are one or both elements are burned out. Both the seat base and the back need to be viable, or the relay will not kick in. The hard part is figuring out what the right part number for the seat foam is for your seat.

+1 to this, as I had the same symptoms. Replaced seat foam and all is well.
