Hello all, one of my front lower control arms ball joint boot has got a hole in it and it squeaks so I guess I just need to replace that control arm. Since I got to replace one might as well do both sides, but what other front end parts would you suggest I replace? Thanks.

The control arm is the only piece with rubber bushings, other pieces tend to last a long time. Check for any movement or torn boots. Of course there will be people here to tell you to replace everything which is fine if that's what you'd like to do.

Completely agree. Look, touch and compare both sides. Get your rubber mallet out. Check for play. Check torque on bolts. Check condition of the bushings. When was the last alignment done? Are you positive it�s a control arm or could it be a spring twisting in a perch that causes the squeak? Don�t throw in your wallet with the towel just yet.

Fcpeuro sells a nice kit and just individual parts if u need to buy new. The meyle and trw parts r the go to aftermarket parts.

It's a 20+ year old car. If your wallet can handle it, replace everything with rubber in it. I had a very reputable shop tell me that OE Porsche was the only stuff that holds up long term, but my opinion of that shop has changed. Just stay away from URO brand. Another consideration is adding camber adjustability, i.e. length adjustable LCAs. This would add cost so I'd only recommend it if you are tracking or autocrossing the car regularly.
