Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I noticed a small leak dripping over the last few weeks from beneath the 996 although very slow. It seems to be dripping from this location, directly below the transmission mount. That area is wet, but around it seem to be dry. There aren't any drain plugs, etc in that area. Ideas?

POST 2Original post

What color is it? Red would indicate a power steering fluid leak. Touch the stain with a paper towel and check.

Our spec ps fluid is a blue/green color. Red would be trans fluid if u have a tip or coolant.

POST 6Original post

Pentosin (Porsche) coolant is red. That area has multiple coolant lines with multiple line fittings / orings / clamps that can leak coolant. Whereas there are very few possibilities for gear oil to leak from the gearbox in that nose section. Pentosin power steering fluid is green (when it's clean).
