Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
He says he sells it allowing customers to drive it, instantaneously you feel the difference when you adjust the dial.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust dial' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'primary entrance at the cylinder head, and knowing' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust dial' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Suspected cause
My issue was the primary entrance at the cylinder head, and knowing that this would not promote my head work for my Performer series engines.

So I'll ask, as I will probably need to replace the exhaust soon, what do you recommended?

When I saw this, and measured it upon, I knew that I'd be wasting my time trying to gather test results, because this physical property has been proven to one crucial to the end result with my heads.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have a set on the way. They have been backordered.
I want to see the primary throat entry diameter, and how the 1-3/4" primary diameter works coupled to the longer primary length. I think they treated it too much like a V8, but I'll know soon enough.
Jake you may want to check their exhaust too. It is real loud. Now the car an 04 had soul headers and soul sport cats (non x pipe). Anyway the owner of the car is the brother of the
inventor of Auto blip , downshift tool aid. Porsche is using the auto blip name and paying them.
I pay for services I leave the education to the tech trial and error not in my horizon
people with more Porsche technical knowledge then myself
and I did say somethings not every thing
FWIW,, on American stuff,, Hooker was always the budget choice.. the couple sets of small block
ones I dealt with (I'm a hobbyist not a pro) needed the flanges machined so they were all in alignment and flat..
the collectors were fairly rough. Since holley bought them, they have upped their game, they offer some
great LS swap bits, but very $$ for what your buying.. at a certain price point I expect titanium tubes and 100% Tig.
For whatever is worth. The exhaust looked pretty good. Almost sounded like a muffler delete. I have listened to the following exhaust dansk, fvd, fab speed, soul, top speed, gundo hack, etc, The nine eleven guy has a you tube video comparing a bunch of exhausts. Anyway out of everything this is the loudest I have herd. The owner himself says is too much. I dont know if it is the superflow mufflers it comes with or the combination of the soul headers, and soul 200 cell cats. Maybe in the future somebody will test this stuff. By the way this car also has the sprint booster installed. Since it has and adjustment, the guy was telling us that this is by far the best bang for your money for these e gas cars. He says he sells it allowing customers to drive it, instantaneously you feel the difference when you adjust the dial. This car has a kN panel with the ipd hose, ipd plenum and Gt3 throttle body.

That said, some other engines and head profiles might prefer this characteristic, so don't think that my choice should be considered a blanket statement for everyone, and every engine. You'll have to try it and see.
I am having to tool up to build our own headers and systems in house. Not something I prefer to do, but something that is going to be required if I intend to continue to move the goal post for performance over where we are at currently.
I think Kline makes a very good exhaust header.
1 5/8" Long tube with 2 1/2" collector.
The first thing that stands out is that the primary tubes are not seemed. One piece, equal length.
The second is the design of the collector, you should look to see how the primary tubes are fitted to the collector for the least restriction.
The length of the collector also plays a part in not losing low end torque.
Continue the 2 1/2" diameter to 200 Cell converters, then out the converter 2 1/2" to a muffler with a 2 1/2" inlet.
There has been lots of articles in many different publications of tunes exhaust for the 996 over the years.
Are there major or any power gains for that matter to be had with headers and a largely stock motor? Then I suppose it becomes more critical in racing where your looking for more top end power. Are these lighter in general?
What Jake is experienced and telling us is exactly what has happened for years with a bunch of aftermarket bolt on parts. It gets to a point that whatever is done has to be matched to the total system. In this particular example the header design doesnt work with his heads . So pretty soon more than likely FSI will give the customers an option to add high flow headers. Jake I dont know about this. Lets say I buy a 3.8 engine from you, are higher flowing ported polish heads and option? Thanks for being honest and always truthful.
