This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No product link though. Depending on cost, this could be a cheaper option than the expensive stock 996.2 headlights. The 993 lights are less expensive wiht lots of non OEM options.
I wrote to them out of curiosity. Its actually a front fender replacement. Each side is 1850 euros!
They are designed for a 996.1 front bumper. The 996.2 would need a 996.1 retrofit front bumper, so probably looking at $4-$5k USD depending on which gen 996 you have.

They also have rear taillight products to take a 996 back to a 993 ish look.
I think I have to agree. The retrofit onto the 996 looks just a bit off. The 997 looks correct. I really admire the intent and effort though, once again proving that the 996 is where much of the innovation is in the P car realm.
Looking at the marketing pics, the nose view looks spot on. Nicely done. But looking at the side view...the body line from the nose up to and past the front wheel well doesn't look quite right. It almost appears to me that the fender is somehow angled a bit oddly.
Not trying to be a douche but to me it's just not a refined enough design.
I have to throw in my $.02... I do like the idea, but I'd like to see one conversion in flesh -not just project pics or renderings- before making any definite statements. I've always liked the looks of 993 and combining that with 996's handling and general/daily usability would be great. Some say that get a 997. Well, while 997's headlights are round(ish), they're IMO too big. OTH 996's rear end is quite nice (better than 997), both NB and WB, especially with C4S's red panel. Then again having 992 styled lights all the way there would be ultimate. With 992 style pop up spoiler, the wide one over the fenders too. I't's just so cool.
It's equally horrible as those stupid covers that you can glue to the headlights to make them pretend to be round.
Seriously - just buy a 997 if those lights are such a problem for you
I don't think it is about hating the headlights, but more of an owner wanting to change up, customize or personalize their car in their own way so it is different from other cars out there and reflects their tastes more - no different than adding side skirts, or custom wings or spoilers.
This is true. To each his own.
However my personal aesthetic is that mods should fit the car organically. The styles should fit, the mods should fit or flow with the design queues of the original. There are a lot of wings and aero kits that do a great job, and which look great on the 996.
There are also many mods for sale that look like tacked on, double sided tape / self tapping screw, eBay special.
To me, this is more of the latter than the former.
But no one in my life listens to me for style advice, so what do I know?
People can do what they want to their cars as long as it doesn't adversely impact others (offended opinions don't count).
The downside is that modifications often do not help with the value of the car. More likely they reduce the value of the vehicle. I know that people say that they never are going to sell, but life can throw curveballs and cash spent + diminished values might wipe out other opportunities.
Nevertheless, it's an interesting project.
Of course it is about hating those headlights and forcefully trying to change them into something they, and as a consequence these cars, aren't - who are you trying to kid guys?
And yeah - people can butcher their cars however they want, just as we can comment on that however we feel.
