Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

18 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Hi, how much does a 04 C2 convertible with a rebuilt status worth? Im looking to buy but scared of the title. car had 50k miles, blue on grey leather and IMS just been done Whats the % between a clean title and a salvage on?

POST 2Original post

Usually a 20% discount don’t be afraid just get a ppi it should take care of most hidden surprises

POST 3Original post

Lots of insurance companies wont do full coverage on salvage cars, and as of lately some wont even insure liability. Something to consider.

I haven't heard that before and I've he'd several motorcycles that were salvaged title but things do change. If thats the case just call around as I'm sure if you are willing to pay someone will insure it. I've used All State for all mine. As for value & concern, don't worry about it. Yes it's about 20-30% less but as long as the damage wasn't to bad and everything fixed properly you're fine. I'm in the same boat.....looking at a 2001 996 C4 and if it works out fine I will buy it. Good luck and report back with pictures of the car.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

How much should I pay? Price are all over!

POST 6Original post

Get a ppi that will give you some leverage and a better price pint also I never experienced no insurance company problem on coverage

POST 8Original post

The car is probably worth somewhere between $10k-$30k. Maybe post the ad for the car, reason while totaled?

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Car is 6 speeds. 50 000 miles. Owner say it was damaged on the front right. But no proof. not my favorite interior colour, little faded as this is a 18 YO car. Hood latch is broken and need to be repair and need new rear tires. he is asking $33k but looking around they are around $30k with clean title

POST 10Original post

I would guess he is about $10k high, but what do i know. Its a crazy world.

POST 11Original post

Look it doesn’t have a lot going for it not even price if it were me I’d walk away and look for a better example you will find one soon winters coming

POST 12Original post

33k for a rebuilt cab? I don't think so, can easily pick something up for that price that has a clean title.

forgot to say that its in Canadiens

POST 14Original post

Quotes source post: 17877806

Gotcha. If that is about 2/3rds of what a clean one would go for in Canada then sure.

POST 15Original post

Still $27k us at $33k cad. At least $10k too high for me to consider.

Full coverage has been a problem for quite a few years, the liability is something new.

POST 17Original post

American collectors and Hagerty as well as geico have covered 2 of my cars that are salvaged for years and still do today

POST 18Original post

USAA, GEICO and Hagerty never even asked if the car had a salvage title. Had no problem insuring. Salvage titles run the gamut. Some cars are salvage-titled for the most minor damage its crazy. My care had front passenger fender and bumper damage replaced and got salvage title! PPI could barely tell except that they noted a tiny bit of overspray on the fender.
