If it were me, I would take a drive down to Oreillys, Advanced or Autozone and run the code.

If I am not mistaken, FCP Euro is running a sale on ignition coils.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Happy New Year! So heres my question:
After several days of driving in heavy, heavy rain in Southern Cal (because my Lexus has been in the shop), Last night the check engine light came on and has stayed on.
I realize the adverse driving conditions may have caused the fault, and Im not noticing any difference in the way the car is driving, and Im wondering if you guys think its safe to drive the car for a few days until I can bring it in to my mechanic.
Greatly appreciate the opinions of the more mechanical among you!
+1 to this. i had a similar thing happen to me with the CEL after driving in heavy rain. It was a misfire code and it got worse with more rain. Turned out my (high mileage) coil packs had cracks.
Im scheduled to bring it in Weds morning to my mechanic, and what Ive read online is that I can drive it until then since the light is solid, and Im not seeing any change in how the car drives. Im not seeing any replies to the contrary.
for the future get yourself a bluetooth obd2 reader and download torque app to your phone. It makes life much easier in these circumstances and only cost like 25 bones.
Not sure what the ignition coil relevance is, but is it just me or does FCP Euro overcharge for shipping? Both times I almost bought from them I backed out when I saw the cost.
My mechanic ran the durametric and found a series of alarm system codes, cleared them and everything is normal.
I also had him activate the OBC and now I see the outdoor temperature under the digital speedometer. Still dont understand why Porsche cut such a small corner by making the fourth stalk an option.
So glad the CEL turned out to be nothing. Thank you for the suggestions fellas!
