At idle my 2005 996 C4S right side exhaust tip gives off a buzzy/rattle sound that goes away when I gently touch with my shoe. I also hear the same thing a bit louder on pulling away from stop at lower rpm. Before I crawl under there with wrenches, any advice such as common problems or just something loose. Pretty sure not cat related as out on end and disappears on light pressure.

Loose clamp / heat shield touching exhaust / nut, bolt, or other foreign object inside pipe. Grab your trust rubber mallet and start giving some exploratory whacks to see if you can get it to happen while the car's off (and the exhaust is cool enough to work with). WORST case, it's a chunk of catalyst from one of your converters that has broken off and been carried downstream. My rattle - that I was SURE was just heat shield - turned out to be one of the internal baffles in my passenger-side Tubi Style muffler. That was a sad day.

Mine had this happen this summer. I tried tightening the clamping bolt, but the rattle continued. Turned out the pipe cracked right around the mounting stud. A little touch with a Mig and all was good again.

Mine has a baffle in the muffer that's loose, cats are good though. Still need to do a muffler swap for a gutted set I'm going to make. It's one of the annoying things that sounds worse than it actually is and is more embarassing than anything, and the rattle is that too... They should have put a little louder exhaust on from the factory.
