Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Leading evidence: 'Replace oil cooler four orings' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'leak is coming' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace four orings (two diferent sizes)' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I read a little about the oil cooler O-rings failing but suspect the leak is coming from the top of the oil cooler but wanted to check if someone has had a similar issue.

Now is the time to change the four orings (two diferent sizes) for that heat exchanger.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

While doing the ims to my 04-C2, I noticed liquid when unbolting one of the transmission bolts (passenger side middle). After pulling the trans, it looks like I have a minor coolant leak near the oil cooler. What are the common failure points that would cause coolant in the bellhousing crevice as seen in the attached pic? I read a little about the oil cooler O-rings failing but suspect the leak is coming from the top of the oil cooler but wanted to check if someone has had a similar issue.
Dried coolant in passenger side bellhousing.
I have seen some case porosity leaks in this area before...( not a big deal if only minor)
I would just clean up the cavity with a Dremel and sand paper roll, rough it up to bare aluminum and Epoxy up the whole cavity..... The cavity serves no purpose except for weight savings...
I tried to find the source of the leak by looking for white residue but wasn't able to find any immediate above the crevice or around the oil cooler. I'm thinking it might be an old leak? I'm inclined to just button things up and fix this from the top if it turns into a significant leak.
Here is my leak. It looks very similar to yours, except that it has a slight leak in from above like it's coming from the oil cooler. I changed the oil cooler four orings. It was cheap. And it is much easier to do now than when the engine is back in. But, it's your car. You do what you want.
That does look quite similar to mine. Did you know you had the leak before pulling the trans and did the o-rings fix the issue?
I was expecting to see traces of white residue on the outside of the bellhousing near the oil cooler but did not. I also didn't notice any dampness even thought he car has been recently driven which led me to think it might have been old.
