Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I would sell the mount kit and probably the footpack if someone wants it.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Yup, my plans were to run it all winter (Cleveland) as it is a daily driver however, I can't find winter tires! I have a "summer" set of 19" wheels that are too nice to run in the winter and the stock Carrera 2 wheels that I was going to put winter tires on. The problem is no one in my area has tires to fit them. I still have my old Z4 coupe and it looks like I can get winters put on that... The question is is it worth putting all seasons and using those for winter driving? I have done that with the Z4 but would prefer a dedicated tire for snow.
Crap.

It depends on how harsh conditions you will be driving in. All seasons will certainly be better than nothing but IMO a dedicated set of winter tires can't be beaten. I blasted through multiple winters in my GTI with a set of steelies and winter tires and we have a steep, slippery driveway.
Thanks alll. I have the the DWS 06's on the BMW now and they are alright in the snow but I was hoping for a dedicated snow tire. My rims are also 17's which is making the hunt even harder....
For 17", you would need 205/50 and 255/40, for example Vredestein Wintrac which should still be available:

Well thanks all I finally found a set of Continental Viking contacts that are close. hbdunn I wound up with the 245/45/17 and 205/50/17 combo... Hopefully I can get these on in time! Or if not I can have a blast drifting!

I am lucky in that when I bought the car it came with a set of 19" AG Ruger meshes and a set of the original 17" Carrea wheels, which will now be my winter set! Is that a porsche rack or an aftermarket one?
Off topic question.
@hbdunn
, are those Thule bars? Do they sit fairly level? I want to mount a box on top and want to make sure that it will work. Thanks and sorry to hijack the thread.
Yes they are thule bars and worked well with a ski rack. They don't sit flat and the rear is lower than the back.
@Bbiela
I was curious about your question so I went and measured with just the feet on. Front is angled 5 degrees forward and back is 7 degrees back. Rear is just under 2" lower.
I carried skis one winter and four wheels to a couple of track events before I got a trailer.
I would sell the mount kit and probably the footpack if someone wants it. Has to be used with square bars.
