I'm about to give in and look for some inexpensive all-seasons to swap on when I don't want to run summer tires.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Is it just me or are winter tires (particularly rears) pretty much all on backorder at all sources? I've been looking for some 225/40-18 front and 265/35-18 rears for my 2000 C2 so I can drive this winter. I'm about to give in and look for some inexpensive all-seasons to swap on when I don't want to run summer tires.

POST 2Original post

I mentioned in another thread that the Bridgestone is available in a 255/35 and 225/40 18.

POST 3Original post

Not sure about your sizes but I started a thread on difficulty in finding winter tires. I was looking for 17" which I found at Walmart actually. I got Conti Viking Contacts. Maybe try them! A

Thanks for that tip. I was looking at 255/40-18 but didn't think about 255/35, which is closer to the stock size anyway.

POST 5Original post

I always ran 17" in the car for winters. Easier to find and better in the snow! Now with the turbo 17" will not fit and clear the calipers... I found very old but never used set of 18's but I think I'm just putting her away for the winter since they are impossible to get new now...
