Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'd like to get a small swath of leather to send off for color matching, but haven't been able to find any small hidden bits of leather that I can clip a sample from. Does anybody know where I can find a small unseen bit of leather to cut a small sample from?
I assumed there would be scraps readily available under the seat, but I don't feel any scrap pieces there. The leather seems to wrap around the bottom of the seat pretty tightly so there is not much in the way of spare leather that I could find. This is just from feeling around the base (seat not removed from car).
you can find some around the bottom or sides of the seats, or take a rear 1/4 panel off and go behind it or c pillar. but the normal way to match is to take a whole part and match off of that ( they can t match good off a little 1/2 in square piece)

I had the Natural Brown Leather seats in my 996 C4S repaired with new factory leather, and it was much lighter than the aged leather. I also added a new OE shift **** and boot at the same time which perfectly matched the new leather. Based on this, I know that the leather used in the repair was correct, even though it didn't match my seats very well.

^This^ My experience has been, as long as you have the correct factory color code, that's as good as you're going to do.
I was able to get a swatch by reaching between the side bolster and the center backrest of the passenger seat. There was a good amount of excess for a swatch.
