Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

^I think I'll just sell them as a set with the taillights.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I swapped out my blacked out OE taillights and sidemarkers with LED ones last night. The blacked out lights were painted with tint, as opposed to having tint film, so I wasn't sure how easily they would clean up. Anyhow, I really like the updated look of the LEDs. I know that they aren't for everyone, but I like them.
If anyone is interested in the old sidemarkers (clear painted black out) and taillights (OE), let me know. I was told this morning that the paint should clean up easily, but haven't tried it myself. I'll sell them as black out and leave it to the buyer to remove the tint paint if they want clear. Let me know and I'll make you a great deal. They are in very good condition.

Wait a minute. That is what the museum looks like?
I always pictured a barn with your office in the hayloft...
I didn't like the dark lights and signals, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of these tail lights either. I think it's one of those cases where I just think Porsche got it right...
Well, I agree that the OE taillights are nice. I never even contemplated swapping them out on my '99. But because I didn't like the blackouts on this car, I started looking at options. The LED taillights are cheaper than buying even used OE taillights - if they were more expensive I may have gone back to OE. But since they were less expensive and I like the updated look, I thought I'd give them a try. My biggest concern is what happens if some of the LEDs go out, but the reviews have been good.
For the widebody, the only source is Del Ray Customs in California. Here's a little nugget I found by accident: I originally signed up on their website with an account and put the taillights in my shopping cart. But, I didn't complete the order - I think I wanted to check something else before I bought. After a few days, Del Ray Customs sent me a 10% off promo code to entice me to buy them. PM me if you want the promo code - I just don't want to post it here out of respect for what appears to be a small business and Rennlist sponsor who has great customer service.
Oh, and gnat, you're partly correct - the barn is my house.
Why yes it is, but no reason to be impressed. I've been told it's a complete, ragged out POS. I'm kinda pissed at DTMiller for not pointing that out to me when we met. Frankly, I'm surprised DTM didn't just jump back in his car and take off when I rolled into the parking lot in that crap pile.
I guess I need to call Yoav and get some advice on the best practices for returning a 996. I think I'm still within the "return period" because I just picked the car up on 9/14. I think I've still got a couple more months to cancel the sale.
^I think I'll just sell them as a set with the taillights. If I end up selling just the taillights and having the sidemarkers left over, I'll just mail them out to you. You can buy me a beer next time I'm in San Diego. The last trip out I was short on time and had a herd of 9 people to keep track of, otherwise would've been good to meet up with the San Deigo crew somewhere.
I have been hunting for replacement tails for my C4s. Not sure we could work something out shipping to Canada and the exchange rate is not too nice right now.
Jamie - I'll check with Jason at Warehouse33. Maybe he knows a trick on shipping parts to Canada. Packing is easy because I saved the boxes and materials from the LEDs that were shipped to me from California. I know Jason figures out really good ways to save on shipping. I'll shoot you a PM after I talk to him.
KC, I like it. Looks real nice. For some strange reason, I had the same image as gnat described about the museum and your office. Goes to show not to jump into conclusions.
