Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Would lked to make an end table (for outside) out of my flywheel (base) and pressure plate (top) sprayed to match the color of my car. Looking for suggestions on a long peice of metal (from a 996) that can be weldedl to conect the two. The IMSB seemed to be fine with 94k on it. Thanks.

POST 3Original post

If u can weld flanges to aluminum u can use a coolant pipe and bolt it together. Also a cv shaft if u weld the joints.

POST 4Original post

IMSB "seemed" fine after 94k miles? You, sir, are dancing with the devil. The first two generation IMS bearings are wear items and should be changed out when you do the clutch and rear main seal. Here's hoping you have the third generation bearing which debuted around 2005.

POST 5Original post

Place them in a large box and pour 50 gallons of clear acrylic over it. TIP: Do this where you ultimately plan to have it sit.

POST 7Original post

My mistake, didn't notice it at bottom of picture!

POST 9Original post

Wow, great idea and very well executed. Nicely done!

POST 11Original post

Nice job on that, very impressive. I love your idea and creation; I almost want to make one but instead of the wooden top perhaps glass with the Porsche logo etched. Great work.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yes, I thought about a top with etched glass for an ash tray for cigars.

POST 13Original post

Nice job on the Table !!! I made an end table for the Man Cave using a scrap 997 Turbo Forged Fuchs Wheel...It had a really deep gash in it and was heading toward the aluminum scrap pile so I rescued it.... 997 Turbo Forged Fuchs table
