This design can be used on all 996.1 or 996.2 and with just a 2.5 inch longer end section on bank 2 can be used on 997.1 ..and it is rebuildable/repairable..

I finally had a little time to build a few of the upgraded cross-over breather hoses for 996 and 997... This design goes around the back of the intake instead of going through the middle... The main section is 19mm aluminum bent to contour with the intake then the end pieces are flexible spiral galvanized lap-locked steel with a PVC cover and a polyethylene cover with Gates Safety Stripe II rubber connector sections to OEM Norma Quick connectors.. This design can be used on all 996.1 or 996.2 and with just a 2.5 inch longer end section on bank 2 can be used on 997.1 ..and it is rebuildable/repairable.. Wll be added to the website soon, but is available now...just contact me.....cost is about the same as the plastic OEM 996.1 hose ( yes I know the OEM hose is crazy expensive) ..

Yes, having a leak at the cross-over hose is a PITA... Intake leaks are so common on the M96 and many people struggle to find and fix them... A leak in the cross-over breather hose is one of the hardest to find/fix..

Between reading your writeup with pictures (Thanks!) and seeing this thread, I took that as a sign I should go ahead and order before I get started. Looking forward to getting this in an get my new UAOS installed either this weekend or next.
