Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I did, they sent it back said they visually inspected, found nothing wrong but could not bench test this particular unit (5.7, PSM, 2 WD) and sent my $300.
Leading evidence: 'Inspect found nothing wrong' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Inspect found nothing wrong' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

A Google search of that part number returned 33,300,000 results. I suggest you Google search and pick a supplier if you think that is the problem. Gaudin Porsche came in on the first page.
I've talked to DC parts, La parts, all those responses are not exact match. Easy to find 996 355 755 03, 04, way up to 61, yet to hit a 54, I've read that a 60, 61 might supercede.
Check with one of the Porsche online parts suppliers and get the superceded number.
I've had good luck with Suncoast Porsche & SunSet Porsche.
Also Gaudin is a good source.
Even Pelican can probably help you.
Calling one of these places you should be able to find a superceded part.
While I really like DC Auto, I would hesitate to put a used brake part on my car unless it is rebuilt.
I did with my calipers, but it was a special circumstance.
(They were on the car for under 1000 miles before it got wrecked. I was able to determine no damage to the wheel areas. Also the accident happened 7 days before I bought them, so they weren't setting out unattached attracting moisture for months)

So far I have learned that the "996 355 755 54" # stamped on the block of the ABS unit in my car is rare. Porsche dealers don't acknowledge it. It is original to the car, I believe. Talking to different parts people...355 955 52 was the first used on my model, followed by 955 54, 62, and BX, apparently remaned. Looking for the last hour I can't seem to locate any one of the three for less than about $4000.
Also, while logging a couple hundred miles with different combos of things disconnected, an Indy said it was the electronic side of the abs (abs made up of three parts, the pump, the hydraulic, the electronic), take it apart and send the electronic side to Module Masters in ID (the abs pump would work, and the hydraulic portion had no leaks). I did, they sent it back said they visually inspected, found nothing wrong but could not bench test this particular unit (5.7, PSM, 2 WD) and sent my $300. back. I put it on yest and found it still has the problem. While driving 10-15 miles today with the large electronic side connector disconnected, it threw a code, "speed sensor", a first. Of course, with the unit unplugged, the odometer and speedometer don't work, don't know why it hasn't thrown that code before under the same condition.
I won't be forking out the big bucks until I can confirm whats wrong, tho I am happy to try out a couple of the 2 - 3 hundred dollar units on Ebay if it would help diagnose, if I could match #'s. Those #'s are:
996 355 755 54 996 355 955 52 996 355 995 54 996 355 955 62 and 996 355 995 BX
