Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Then run the engine up to temp and see if you have any coolant leaking.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2003 C4, 40,000 miles. So yesterday i turned over 40k on my car. And I had steam coming from the engine lid and this leak under the car. What could cause this leak? I am trying to rule out the AOS as the culprit because I really dont want to so that job. Any help is much appreciated
Make all the rules you want. Since the oil pan is on the right and that is the IMS tensioner bolt on the left, then we are looking at the drivers side wheel in the forefront. Above that area is the AOS with coolant lines. You are going to have to replace the AOS.
Thanks DBJoe996! That is what I needed to know. Wish me luck as I am prob going to need it. Do you have a recommendation where to get AOS and the lines?
Will
Look up uaos for a better aos system and its worth the upgrade. U can bypass the aos coolant lines pretty easily and test to see if its the issue or the expansion tank. Check the PET drawings at

the aos is in the engine section.
This is the best recommendation. Only buy an OE Porsche AOS. No aftermarket parts. Since it is such a PITA replacement, you do not want to do this again any time in the near future. In order to check if it is the AOS and coolant lines, you can close off the coolant lines with a hose pinch. They are easy to reach in the engine bay. Then run the engine up to temp and see if you have any coolant leaking.
Read my recent threads on this. They show tracking leak down with final determination of coolant nipple on AOS. Get some of the fluorescent green coolant dye and a UV light flashlight. If it is the AOS itself or an AOS coolant line, it is easy to bypass. I've ordered my UAOS from Porschetech3.
