I just saw this video of a new exhaust system for the 996 by Holley. It consists of long tube headers and mufflers. Looks very nice. Might be worth it.

They sure look a lot like the cheap Chinese headers off eBay.
I bought a set and used them as wall art before selling them to a local Rennlist member.
Especially the collector area looks the same.
I think the Fabspeed, Soul, and Agency Power Headers look like a better product.
I had the Chinese ones on my wall.
They look a lot like the ones on the Hooker Header website.
Take a look at Fabspeed (or Soul, or Agency Power) websites and compare the quality.
I may be off, but just going by the pictures I’m not impressed.
It would be great if someone would buy several brands and test all of them on a dyno in same conditions.

I'll get a set to try out. Looks promising if you hack off the collector, and toss on a nice conical merge. Right now they are just a dump arrangement. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.
The flanges and primaries are promising,n but I don't like that collector design at all.
Time, and the tune will tell.

My Agency Power headers arrived earlier today, but I was busy working on a Car Ministry client’s vehicle.
I just now got a chance to open the box and take a look.
The Agency Power header collector looks better than the Hooker header collector based on pictures.
They‘re hundreds of miles better than cheap Chinese eBay headers!
I borescoped both Agency headers.
Wow!

Wish I could get a look at a set of Hooker headers.
Had a set of Hooker headers on my 94 Z28 in the mid-2000s. They never gave me an issue but it's been a long time since then so who knows what has changed over the years in terms of quality.
I've got the process of removing the bumper cover and trading out the cats with reassembly down to about 2 � - 3hours all in. (CA Smog test no likey FabSpeed X-Pipes w/200cel cats...)
Not sure why he took off the bumper. Much easier to take off the center heat shield.
How much horsepower do any of these headers actually add? Then there was the difference between say, street headers and all out race ones, thinking in terms of muscle cars. I imagine the same same principles apply.
