Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

99 C4/GT3 Euro Clubsport to GT3 Sport Seats. I am trying to install my new acquired GT3 Sport Seats in place of the Clubsport seats that came with the car. The car originally had comfort seats with memory options and the new Sport Seats do not. The passenger seat installed and hooked fine. However, the drivers wiring harness pin-outs do not match. On the seat: Attachment 929825 Attachment 929826 On the Car: Attachment 929827 Attachment 929828 I see some loose wires that probably went the memory module and there is a big RED wire that probably needs to be relocated to the wiring harness. Attachment 929829 What is the best way to do this? 1. Just soldier a new wire with a disconnect between the seat and the car. 2. Finding a pin for the harness (probably difficult) and tapping in the RED wire on the loose harness. Either way, I will have to make a custom hack!
