Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 1999 porsche 911. Im interested to see if my mirrors fold and how? Ive tried but not a budge. Im thinking it was the 997s or 996v2 that had folding mirrors. Prove me wrong.

POST 4Original post

I need to press quite hard on my mirrors before they will fold. Try it again!

POST 7Original post

Try squirting a little lube and a fishing line to make sure there isnt any debris mine were hard to fold until I did this

POST 8Original post

I learned something today....thanks on the mirrors!

POST 9Original post

Twice now when I drove the 996 to work (only employees park in the lot) people who came in later parked very close to me. First time someone in a Macan decided to park so close I almost couldn't get in the car (hey, so I'm not as thin as I used to be!). Then a couple of weeks ago I was backed into a spot with no one around. Upon leaving for the day someone is a Honda CRV pulled in (driver door to my driver door) really close. Pissed was an understatement. Luckily there were no scratches or dents in my door. So even if my mirrors do fold I don't want to give anybody else even more room to park closer to my door!
