Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
You do not need to change your master cylinder nor adjust brake bias.
Leading evidence: 'Adjust brake bias' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Adjust brake bias' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

If you want to run the yellow calipers, you need to run carbon to steel conversion discs.

Suggestion
If you cannot use bracket adapter then as is said above, you'll need to run carriers with the right bolt spacing for the calipers you choose.

Unless you have a GT3 you'll also need new wheel carriers to run those calipers.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
I have found a deal locally for yellow 6 piston callipers that I intend to use with stell rotors. I did some searching around and couldn't find a definitive answer, can one mix and match the different coloured callipers? E.g. use steel rotors with yellows?
The reason I am asking is that a multitude o sellers state, like FVD below, for the reds "only for steel brakes" which raised the question. I would hate to buy used yellows only to find out I have to use carbon rotors.
Thanks!

Hey there, I have found
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-gt2-...onversion.html
That one can simply plug the following;
"Some common selections,
Front:
996Cup fronts
996GT3 fronts
Cayenne 350mm fronts
997.1GT3 350mm fronts
Rear:
997TT rears
997GT3rears
997Cup
Panamera Turbo 350mm rear"
I would love to simply use an adapter, but it's illegal for the street. Even using giro's here in Austria.
The adapter is for bolting the caliper to the C2 carrier. If you cannot use bracket adapter then as is said above, you'll need to run carriers with the right bolt spacing for the calipers you choose.
Thats great info on the PCCB to steel conversion discs.
Vect, given your constraints in Austria, just get yourself a Brembo GT 4 piston kit. 355 F 345 R. New or used. More brakes than you can possibly use on the track and it fits. You do not need to change your master cylinder nor adjust brake bias. Same can be said for a similar kit from Stoptech and Alcon. You will loose a boatload of unsprung weight. Sure it will cost you, but it will last forever. You can sell your Oem brakes to recoup some of the costs.
