Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

What's the name of the part that goes here? I assume it's called "....plug", but I don't know what the name is so I can't search it up to replace it lol Also - unrelated and less important - Is there a reliable place to get hard backed sport seats for a 996? The ones on ebay are ~$5000 for a set and that seems a tad much.

POST 2Original post

It's part # 996.555.457.00 Cabrio Latch Cap and they're about $20 each plus shipping. If you have a 3D printer you can print them: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4299067

POST 4Original post

Keep checking the forum marketplace for hardback sport seats. Other forums like 6speedonline as well. They pop up every now and then and prices more reasonable than EBay.
