Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
They are probably the ones willing to pay the premium.
Leading evidence: 'ones willing' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'ones willing' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Repair on them' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

Apparently they are a magnet for potholes as both of the rears have the same repair on them.

We have been using the same company for several years at the shop and have never had a problem.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
13 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Going in a different direction with this car. These are real TechArt Daytona by Speedline. They are NOT mint or perfect. They have some dings here and there and one has small curb rash. One rear wheel, I hit a pothole and it got a small crack on the inside lip but it has been repaired and all wheels are true. I did a search and have seen some for $3,500 and $4,200 for really nice ones. (wheels only!). Tires are Bridgestone Potenzas with @ 1,300 mile on them, so basically new. Here are some pics..
Thoughts on price? With and without tires?
Shipping can get pretty expensive, especially with the tires fitted. Keep that in mind.
I sold some wheels recently (without tires), and had the best luck selling them on Ebay.
Can't offer you much advice on the price, since I'm not familiar with those wheels, but $3500 sounds VERY high to me (for wheels only).
yeah, i saw those, and then there are these for $4,200

And these for $3,200:

but I know mine are worth less than those..
Best to try to market and gauge interest from 964/993 crowds as they seem to spend premium on wheels, especially the older rare ones. They are probably the ones willing to pay the premium.
Even better, hit up the audi/vdub crowd. They are all about rare, super stretch, adaptor, wide, expensive wheels that are 2-3 times the worth of their cars.
How about some more info? What are the offsets? The one pic shows ET40 but that seems like a bit too much for a narrow body rear? Is that the front wheel in the pic of the back? What size tires are on them? How much curb rash do they have as it looks like there is some rash on the one wheel?
more info:
fronts - 8.5 x 18 et40
rears - 10 x 18 et40
Bridgestone Potenza re760s - 225/40/18, date code = 0513, 265/35/18, date code 4713, tires have about 1,600 miles on them.
Front right has a very small amount of rash that is not deep, the other three have a few dings here and there, but no rash.
As far as the offsets, yes I agree that the rears seem more like a wb fitment number, but here are several pics of them on my lowered car. Apparently they are a magnet for potholes as both of the rears have the same repair on them. We have been using the same company for several years at the shop and have never had a problem.
Any other questions or pic request, let me know..
After talking to the seller a bit today I found that these won't fit a NB 993. The sizes are 18x8.5 ET40 and 18x10 ET40. They would fit a WB 993 though. My search continues...
No disrespect, but with all that curb rash, dings and a cracked rim (even if it was fixed) I know some people will be discourage at that price. But Good luck with the sale.
