Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I gave my cab a lot of loving this weekend getting ready for next weekends track event. Started with a wash, then Griot's clay bar. Followed up with #3 Griot's Polish and finished up with 3 coats of Griot's Best in Show wax. Hell of a lot of work. Pretty spectacular results :thumb up: (You can see the clouds' reflection in the paint). The 3 coats of BOS wax is a bit of a process. You lay the first coat of wax and let it cure for about an hour. Next you lay the second coat right on top of it and let that cure overnight. The next morning you lay a third coat of wax on top of the other two and let that cure for 2 hours. Next buff it out with a coat of Griot's spray wax. Need to dress the top. Any recommendations? RaggTop appears to the most widely used.

POST 2Original post

The Porsche vinyl top treatment stuff works well also, but it's pricey. I think someone gave me a can - otherwise, it would have been RaggTop every time. I really need to work on my paint - your car looks SWEET.

POST 4Original post

That certainly is a lot of work, but the results speak for themselves, it looks great. I picked up some BOS wax at Advance last week and was curious how to get the best results (remove before it dries or wait). Did you polish/wax by hand or use a random orbital?
