Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

So as has happened to most that i have read...ordered corteco mounts for my 996 and got something in a box from rein auto...from pelican. Pelican is confused. Transferred me around, said it was same company as corteco but then i mentioned that others have found out it isnt and they were going to put in an email to the vendor to "look into it". I am more concerned with whether or not whatever it is I got is still liquid filled or what? Any way to tell? Pelican again transferred me to someone who said someone would know but then got vm and no return call. Anyone shed light on that? Anyone used the rein and they were ok as a direct replacement? Yes- i am aware that there are 4,300 threads but none answered my question. Thanks everyone for any insight...

POST 2Original post

Rein and Corteco are the same company. Went through this last year.

Thanks...as I said, II read a crap load...i dont think they are same company but do believe its probably the same product...PROBABLY. My question that I could not find answer is, are they liquid filled. Has anyone who used Rein for 996 confirmed that? Not trying to "go through this again". Just trying to find that answer...or a way to figure it out. Even Pelican could not answer and had to write to their distributor.

POST 4Original post

tdrimer, The mounts you've ordered for your 996 are of the same construction as the original mounts on your car when new from the factory and yes, liquid-filled. It's a confusing topic but our CEO shed some light on it some time ago here (post #19): Corteco vs Rein I apologize for the confusion and our serious misstep in not returning your call/following-up with you via our customer service department. Please feel free to contact me directly at anytime with questions/concerns: [phone removed] x309 [email removed] Thank you for your business and looking forward to serving you in the future! Thanks. I was able to verify that they are in fact liquid filled today. You all really should put this on your website...not behind the scenes in frequently asked questions, but up front where it says CORTECO is what I am purchasing...would alleviate some of the confusion. I don't care that it came in a rein box. What I cared about is if it would be the same. When you expect one thing and get another, specifically for Porsche parts, it's a bit unnerving. Thanks again...
