Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been looking into upgrading the suspension on my car, and most coilover kits I've been looking at do not include top hats. This doesn't seem to be a problem for the fronts, as I can find Lemforder (probably OEM supplier) top hats for around $30-$40 each. However, everywhere I've looked only seems to carry OEM Porsche branded rear strut tops at $140 each. Are there any less expensive options available, or do I have to shell out for the porsche tops?

POST 2Original post

Monoball strut mounts for $30 to $40 each? That seems dirt cheap. I would look over at some of the sponsors; Pelcian Parts, Warehouse33, Rennline, Paragon Parts, Eagle Day, etc. Everything I have found run over $300 a set of two, front or rear.

POST 3Original post

I just bought all the parts for new suspension. I can find front upper strut mount from lemfoerder for $26-30 but the rear are only available from Porsche OEM. The cheapest I found is for $129 each from suncoast. The lemfoerder front mount that has 997 part number instead of 996.
