Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I checked spam and trash but didn't see your email.

Suggestion
IIRC, I use a socket to drive the plug in, the reason I needed the other kit was I was removing a L&N bearing and the thread pitch is different from the OEM bearing, you can purchase just the adapter if needed, you need to call them and order any piece you need.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Getting ready to install the IMS solution, and it appears that two sets of tools are needed.
The IMS Pro Tool Kit
106-08.13 and the Supplemental tool 106-08.21.
looking at the instructions it seems like the Pro tool Kit (which I already have,) contains most of the parts needed to complete the job, besides the oil plug driver.
Does anyone know if this driver can be purchased separately?
thanks in advance.

but isn’t it supposed to be in a specific depth?
Absolutely! That’s why you need the tool for accuracy. If you purchased the Solution from LN, there is a good chance they might loan you the tool. They loaned (gave me) the oil filter spanner if I paid for shipping. LN is very accommodating and easy to work with.
The plug driver tool also sets the depth for the plug. If the plug is too shallow it will contact the central stud of the IMS Solution, and create interference. If the plug is too deep it can be positioned at a portion of the tube with too large of an ID and the plug will be loose inside the tube.
This driver tool was designed for the job by Mr. Raby, ensuring that the depth is exactly where it needs to be, and that no issues can result. The tool is not sold separately, since any correct IMS Solution installation requires all the special tools to be utilized. This system works perfectly when employed, but if you utilize some other method issues are highly probable.
Thanks for jumping in.
All of the above is understood. Hence the reason I'm looking for that tool.
i already have the Pro kit from previous LNE bearing installation, so removing the old bearing and installing the new one should not be an issue.
the spanner and the thin wall sockets are also tools i already have , making the plug driver the only part in the tool kit that i truly need to complete the job.
i was hoping i will not need to buy the full tool kit, but i guess that's the only way to go.
also kudus to your tech support for replying promptly to my ticket.
There's money to be made if you wanted to buy these tools and then rent them to others that need them. It is a pain to manage, but at least you could make your money back.
We offer tool rental to those that buy the kits directly from LN, but most don't do that because they'd rather price shop. Then they need a tool set and get mad when they see that the cheaper price cost them a lot more money.
Happy to help!
for sure.
As a tool junkey i do not have a problem buying the tool (or any other tool that gets the job done right).
I was just checking to see if this part of the tool kit is sold by itself, as the other parts in the kit are redundant with the Pro kit that i previously purchased for the ceramic bearing installation.
thanks again.
hi Meirschwartz,
you're in Coral Spring FL. I'm close by. I'm about to do the IMS Solution. Do you still have the IMS tool kit so I can rent from you? Thank you sir
I just found out that I needed to post 5 times before PM feature is activated. I checked spam and trash but didn't see your email. Weird. Thank you meirschwartz.
