Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sold my beloved 02 996 and have an arctic silver hardtop that I no longer need. Checking if anyone might be interested (zip 92592).

POST 2Original post

I have a cab with hard top. Just curious. When you sold the car, was the new buyer not interested in the hard top ?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Traded in the car to a dealer (2.5 hour drive, 1-way), realized too late that I still had the hard top stored in my garage. Asked the sales rep if hard top would add to my trade-in value, he said "No." Hence, now "stuck" with a hard top.

POST 4Original post

Ive been looking and interested in a hard top as mine did not come with one. Looks like shipping to me (72712) would run about $550- do you have a price in mind?

The size/shape of the top makes it a "challenge" to securely pack/ship it. FWIW, I have another interested party from WA and have actually considered renting a truck (at buyers expense) so I (and buyer) will have total peace of mind that the top will arrive SAFELY. FYI, I have miscellaneous bits that I will throw in for free( i.e. OEM cloth cover, front latch cover, covers for rear mounting points). Please feel free to PM me if you want to discuss further.

POST 6Original post

I lucked out and put mine on Ebay for local pickup of all places... $600 and more garage space, win-win.

Have actually been thinking of going this route. Thanks. P.S. Top is currently NOT using up space in the garage (it is hung on storage rack) but will surely recoup some space if/when it sells.
