The ad says it has 320hp, so this is probably a stock 3.6 N/A drivetrain underneath.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey everyone,
Came across this and thought I'd share it. It's a 996 targa that was given the turbo-look treatment, I had never seen such a thing before.
It looks like it was well done, too (except for the front bumper adjustment). Someone probably spent quite a bit on the conversion.

I love this type of Frankenstein builds
That is very, very cool.
Now I know what my dream 996 looks like should I win the lottery and be able to send my car to Sonderwunsch.
Though I do debate between this and keeping the narrow body but adding a GT3 engine.....decisions, decisions!
I guess it's easier to go that way then to take a Turbo and do a Targa conversion...
Looks great. I'm surprised they never did Targa Turbos after the G-body.
The ad says it has 320hp, so this is probably a stock 3.6 N/A drivetrain underneath. It's also the only widebody RWD 996 short of a GT2.
That would be an awesome backstory !
Wow, so cool to see this as I wouldve loved a targa roof on my C4S. This one falls a bit short as it kept the side scoops and spoiler. I prefer the clean look of the C4S.
The GT3 engine is also in my pipe dream If I had unlimited budget Id try to build my C4S with a mezger NA engine and a classic air cooled era Targa roof. The later being an almost impossible task given how special the rear window of those targa models are and the generations that have it (new 991 and up and old) vary so much in size compared to the 996. One can dream though.
There are also at least :
-a RUF 993 turbo S Targa
-a 993 2S Targa (which I think is about the coolest thing ever)
Both have been posted on the forum before.
I dont know if I like that lol....Kidding it looks cool...lots of money put into that and still needs the Turbo it deserves...I would rather have my Targa have the Gen 2 front bumber and sides and Taco rear though.....
