I'll tell you how I did on the stand, same as you and I found a center punch and and took machinist rule and measured .375 from the flat spot away from case split and .375 away from the wall of the case and drilled a 3/16 pilot hole, then used a 3/4 hole saw thru the pilot hole.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have the engine setting on a stand. any issue with installing the IMS solution when the engine is facing upside down? I rather be safe then sorry.

POST 2Original post

Might even be easier to notch the case for the oil line with it like you have it. Probably won't need to but, can't you easily rotate it on the stand if needed..?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yes. I can rotate it to the normal position, but then the engine stand post will be in the way, and I will need to work on my knees. nor really comfortable it will definitely going to be easier to install it as I pictured. my common sense say it shouldnt be an issues, but it doesnt cost to ask 😁
