Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I made a mistake, here the text in English. Hi all, I bought a 996 4s in Germany and drove it to Italy. I own a Lotus Elise and a Honda S2000 but wanted a Porsche. I have a problem because the Triptronic buttons and horn don't work. What can it be in your opinion?

POST 4Original post

Thank you sir. Wish I could be helpful. I own a TIP but have never experienced this. Sounds like a wiring/ground issue. Try these posts: June 2020 post Pelican 986 post Google is your friend. POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Grazie per la risposta. Onestamente, penso che sia anche la molla dell'orologio. Ho smontato l'airbag ed i cavi sono apparentemente intatti, ma non ho fatto altri controlli, perch non so come fare.

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thank you for the answer. Honestly, I think it's clock spring too. I removed the airbag and the cables are apparently intact, but I haven't done any other checks, because I don't know how to do it.

I have a wiring diagram at the bottom of the first post, maybe that will help? 996 Tiptronic to manual transmission swap - 2004 996.2 Carrera 4S with A9635 - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
